Dryer doesn’t turn on

A homeowner in Ottawa was having trouble with an Amana dryer that would not turn on. Checking if a dryer is plugged in is usually the first step in diagnosing it. The power supply was checked to make sure there were no faulty cables connected to it. When we opened the back, we found a blown thermal fuse. The thermal fuse prevents the dryer from overheating. The problem was solved by replacing the fuse.
