Dryer won’t turn on

An Ottawa homeowner was having trouble with a Moffat dryer that wouldn’t turn on. Prior to diagnosing a dryer, we usually check if it is plugged in. To make sure that no faulty cables were connected to the live power supply, we checked the power supply. We opened up the back and discovered the thermal fuse was blown. The thermal fuse protects the dryer from becoming overheated. The solution was to replace the fuse with a new one.
